Terry’s extensive 4-H career credits include being a Wisconsin State Key Award winner, and both Shawano County and WI State Leadership Award winner with a trip to the National 4-H Congress in Washington DC where he placed nationally. At the Congress he served as the International Representative to Kenya. He was also the youngest person ever to be elected to the Wisconsin State Recreation Leaders Laboratory Association board of directors. These accomplishments were all done by age 17.
Terry began his clinical teaching at the UW-Oshkosh Campus School in 1973. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from UW-Oshkosh in band, orchestra and choir, In the last 47 years, he has taught Pre-K through Technical College. He has helped spawn scores of amateur and many professional music careers, including the world famous soprano, Esther Heideman.
His varied performance credits include symphony orchestras, city bands, ensembles, university marching and concert bands, recording studio work, musical theater, dance troops including the Green Ballet Co., dance instruction, as well as night club bands in the styles of bluegrass, country, and jazz. He is currently organist at a local church.
He also has experience in Condominium Management in the Chicago Loop, downtown Chicago luxury highrise, Chicago’s Mag Mile, and also experience in Wisconsin.
He has both corporate and private landscape experience. One of his parks won a spot on the 2012 Olbrich Gardens Tour of Homes in Madison, WI.
Terry has also taught canoeing, backpacking and dance as well as work as a choreographer. He also has experience in Calligraphy.
